Setting up accountability

Because accountability is a feature specific to SirsiDynix Symphony, setting up accountability to function in SirsiDynix Portfolio happens primarily through SirsiDynix Symphony WorkFlows. For documentation on this part of the process, see the documentation for the accountability module in SirsiDynix Symphony WorkFlows. After configuring accountability in SirsiDynix Symphony WorkFlows, there are several tasks that must be performed within Portfolio so that the accountability will function within that system.

You must perform the following steps for each Discovery admin user for whom you want to enable accountability.

To enable accountability within Portfolio

1 Log in to the Admin console.
2 Choose Security from the navigation pane.
3 Choose Accounts from the Security menu.
4 Find the administrative account for which you want to enable accountability, then choose the Edit option next to the account information.
5 Fill out the External Account Settings using the login information for the SirsiDynix Symphony user that has the accountability settings you want to give to the selected Discovery admin user. See Fields: Edit Account for more information.
